Location
Cielo Vista Ranch is located in south-central Colorado about 10 minutes east of San Luis, in Costilla County, with the Rito Seco to the north and the New Mexico state line and Dos Hermanos ranch to the south. It’s an hour from the Ranch to Alamosa, Colorado, with commercial air service and general services including a hospital, hotels and restaurants. Cielo Vista is an hour from Taos, 2.5 hours from Santa Fe and 4 hours from Denver.
Driving directions
From Alamosa or Walensburg, take US 160 to the town of Fort Garland.
Turn south on Highway 159 and drive just over 15.5 miles to reach the town of San Luis.
At the Conoco gas station, turn left on 4th Street (P.6 Road) and drive along this road 4.0 miles to the town of Chama.
Stop at the T and turn left on L.7 Road.
Drive 3.6 miles on L.7. After crossing the bridge, turn right onto gravel road 25.5.
Drive 0.5 miles on 25.5, then turn left onto gravel road M.5.
Drive 0.9 mile on M.5 to reach the North Gate of the ranch.
